What are your rates for simple translation?
These rates are for documents provided in standard text formats such as .txt, .doc et cetera. What are your rates for writing new ad copy or editing existing copy to work with the Japanese market? This really depends on a lot of factors - send us a project estimate request with details of your project and we'll get back to you within 24 hours. I have a document that I would like translated. Can you tell me how much it would be to translate it? No, due to volume of inquiries, we do not give estimates for document translation. The cost is simply the word count times the fee as shown above. How soon can you translate my document? This depends on document size and our workload - fill out our document translation request form (see "Getting Started" in left menu) and we'll respond within 24 hours. Short documents can usually be translated within 2-3 business days. What are your fees for website translation? Our fees are related to the amount of translation / rewrite time and vary greatly by site. Often sites have to be substantially redesigned and/or rewritten to work in Japanese. Generally, a basic website in Japanese will be a minimum of $500. To get an estimate, fill out our project estimate request form(see "Getting Started" in left menu). We can also install your translated website on your or our server and test it with Japanese browsers. Can you create a shopping cart site for us, and how much would this cost? Yes, we create Japanese shopping sites using oscommerce or Joomla. Shopping cart sites generally cost a minimum of $1,000 for all setup and basic content (e.g. privacy and shipping policies). Product and company-specific information is charged separately, and is generally charged by word count for translated ad copy. New ad copy written by us is charged at a different rate. What is the cheapest way I can market my products on the Japanese web? Depending on your product, we may be interested in working with you as a Japanese affiliate site, in which case we build the Japanese site and own it, and you do not need to pay for the site at all. Instead you pay us a percentage of sales. If you have a product that you think can sell in Japan, request a project estimate and we'll analyze whether this kind of arrangement can be mutually beneficial. Another low cost way to test the waters of the Japanese market is for us to make a one-page site for your company in Japanese and then do a trial Google Adwords campaign. This can allow you to quickly gauge the interest of Japanese consumers and gauge the cost of getting your message out. I would like to have a single word translated, or a few words. Can you help with this? Check out our Japanese Links section. There are a number of excellent free online dictionaries and other resources where you can get these for free. There are also a number of kanji (Japanese ideograms) graphics at www.istockphoto.com. I would like to suggest a resource or link to add to your site. How can I do this? You can register to be a site user and add content to the links and other special sections (subject to approval by one of our editors). Click on "User Login" in the menu on the left for more information. |
